2 – 9 May 2019 — During one week, public managers of the Niterói City Hall participated in the SDG Week organized by SEPLAG and UN-HABITAT.
The week began with a day of workshop and lectures where participants could learn about different innovative initiatives that happen at the public and citizen levels in Brazil. At the end of the session, work teams were formed, which had a week to work on a project that could reverse or improve some of the challenges facing the city.
During the working week, the teams received useful information and data about the SDGs and the city, to be involved in their proposals. The competition had 19 proposals, which were presented to a jury who defined the three best projects. The winning projects showed viability, sustainability and innovation.
At the end of the week, the participants expressed their gratitude for having initiatives that allow multi-sectorial work between areas of the mayor’s office.
