28 August 2018 — The 2018 Academy was aimed at UN-Habitat Partner Cities. Participation is targeting (but not limited to) high-level local officials (including Mayors and senior level decision makers and policy makers) from mid-sized municipalities, in the Africa, Asia and Pacific, as well as the Latin America regions. The Academy aimed to increase knowledge of and improve responses to urban issues related to global climate change through improved economic, environmental and urban planning. Case studies provided by participants will form the basis of the practical sessions so that participants will be able to learn from each other as well as benefit from the support of Arcadis and UN-Habitat’s network of experts who will support implementation of priority actions.
